E-Waste Recycling Event

Join us for an E-waste recycling event at the National Sports Center in Blaine, MN on Saturday, May 20th from 10am - 2pm (or until two trailers are filled) in Lot J! This event is being organized by Element Electronics in partnership with the National Sports Center and Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations. It's a great opportunity to help protect the environment, conserve natural resources, and save energy. See the list below for accepted electronics.

 

Accepted Electronics

  • TVs & Monitors (limit 5 per vehicle)
  • Desktop & Laptop Computers (includes tablets)
  • Computer peripherals (keyboards, mice, computer speakers, etc.)
  • Desktop printers, scanners, copiers & fax machines
  • DVD Players, VCRs & Blu-Ray Players
  • Cell phones & chargers
  • Holiday lights
  • Networking equipment (routers, cable boxes, etc.)
  • Power supplies/adapters

 

Non-Conforming Items (Not Accepted)

  • Medical equipment or IT equipment with blood borne pathogen exposure risk
  • Medical waste including sharps or other contaminate wastes
  • Mercury-containing devices (minus monitors, laptops & televisions)
  • Thermometers
  • Thermostats
  • Fluorescent lamps or light bulbs
  • E-cigarettes
  • Small household appliances (not identified within the scope of acceptable products)
  • Any liquids or chemicals
  • Oil or oil capacitors
  • PCB’s
  • Solid waste or trash
  • Any device containing gases
  • Canisters
  • Paint
  • Any materials including lead, cadmium, or other dangerous components
  • Overall hazardous waste
  • Loose batteries
  • Large workout equipment (e.g., treadmills, stationary bikes, etc.)

 

Element Electronics is a consumer electronics and appliance company based in the Twin Cities. At Element, we're committed to increasing our sustainability efforts and protecting the environment. As part of this commitment, we're hosting an E-waste recycling event for residential electronic waste. We'll be accepting a variety of electronics, including TVs and monitors, desktop and laptop computers (including tablets), computer peripherals, printers, scanners, copiers, and more (see full list above). We ask that you do not bring any non-conforming items, such as medical waste, fluorescent lamps, e-cigarettes, or any device containing gases.

The event is FREE, and there will be an opportunity for attendees to enter to win a new Element TV by recycling their E-waste. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to dispose of their E-waste in a responsible and environmentally-friendly manner.
