What We've Been Watching

TV show tiles

At Element, it’s no secret we love TVs. Our employees spend a lot of time working with Element televisions during the workweek, but we also love to relax and marathon a good show in our downtime. We took a poll around the office to see what the team’s favorite shows were, and here are the results:

The modern HBO rendition of Westworld is a good show. I like it because it is objectively good. By objectively good, I mean gun-slinging sci-fi cowboy robots spouting off philosophical zingers at each other, battling for survival, and trying to see which of them can diverge from the source material in the most high-budget fashion possible. That’s everything a show needs to be.

- Logan, Mechanical Design Engineer

I really enjoy watching the show Yellowstone. The show Ozark is also a really great show that I consider ‘marathon worthy.’

- Tiffany, Business Analyst

I marathon-ed Greenleaf on Netflix, sometimes staying up until 1 a.m. during the week! Greenleaf caught my attention because I heard so many people talk about it, so I decided to watch it. I enjoyed it because it centered around a family that faces some of the same issues we have in our own families. Even through difficulties, dishonoring loyalty to each other, and sometimes deception, they remained family through troubling times. It is a real-life movie and very relatable.

- Latoya, Human Resources Manager

Schitt’s Creek on Netflix. Episodes are short so that you can power through a couple in one sitting.

- Brian, Product Director

One of the best shows I’ve watched over the last six months would probably be a combo of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Both great shows!

- Nate, Product Manager

I’m kind of a history nerd, so I have watched a lot of the History Channel Documentaries over the past six months. I’ve watched Grant, The Men Who Built America: Frontiersmen, The Cars that Made America, The Food that Built America. I love that these documentaries tell the hidden stories behind famous people, food, and cars that helped shape America. They’re an amazing look into how some people of these and products nearly failed but then turned into global icons. The cinematography and production are incredible – true to the time period – and Leonardo Di Caprio and top names are producers on the series.

- Kevin, Director of Marketing

I’ve been watching Glow! 80s hair and music have a special place in my heart.

- Britt, Graphic Designer

After much persuading, I finally watched Parasite. I thought it was a scary movie from the posters and reviews, which I’m not into, but it was a fantastic film. There was plenty of suspense to keep you engaged, and the plot twists were unique.
